how to make medicinal snake wine in China.
1. hold the snake head with clamps then hold the clamp steady with your foot.

How can I grew better herbs in my garden?

I have tried several way’s of growing herbs now in my garden. None of which I have been very successful in yet. Can any one who is an herb lover tell me what I must do to successfully grew herbs? For any wise idea , I’ll be happy. Sofar, I am only lucky with Chives and Rosmary.

Try growing them in containers. That way you can regulate the water content of the soil easier. Herbs are general very fragile and will die with too much water.

I usually keep the herbs in containers for two or three years, until they are well established, then set them in the ground.

Good luck! Herbs are hard! Except for basil and mint. Plant mint and they’ll take over your yard!

what are some natural remedies for a Soar Throat?

I have been having problems with a soar throat, I would like to know if you guys know of any natural remedies to heal a soar throat?
oh come on lady, so I spelled sore throat wrong, get over it!

When we were stationed in Germany we had a friend who was into natural remedies. She would grate a red onion very fine. put about a cup or so of rock sugar (about 3/4 cup granulated sugar) put this in a jar you can close tightly. place it in the fridge for about three or four days or up to a week. shake it a couple of times a day. ( she did anytime she got in the fridge) when the syrup forms and there are not more sugar crystals strain into a clean smaller jar or bottle. Take a couple of spoonfuls. It helps stop coughs and eases sore throats. Sounds awful but doesn’t taste as bad as some of the commercial products.
You can also mix honey and lemon together either take straight or mix whit hot water (makes hot lemonade) or the tea of your choice.
another thing you can use is licorice will help or horehound drops.
hope you feel better soon.

Is the chinese herbal for pregnancy safe? called – an dai yok?

From my chinese family, it was suggested to drink herbal tea consist of multiple dried stuffs, boiled and drink to increase the strength of the uterus.

The medicine is famously called – An Dai Yok or maybe spelled differently. the style is like chinese medicine, mixed from 10 or more different herbs by the sinshe/medicineman.

I wonder if this is actually safe or if there is undocumented accident using this herbal tea. For the record, none of my chinese family have any miscarriage or problems with the use of this herbal tea, but I am very afraid to use it.

Please help with your knowledge about this mixed herbal dried plants.

So many eastern medicines are wonderful. But just like with old remedies used in this country, we know a LOT more about our bodies now than we did back then. I assume you have an obstetrician for your prenatal care? I would check with your doctor before taking any herbals or supplements. They would want to know the exact ingredients in order to make a decision, and if you don’t know them, then I would guarantee they would say NO. Go with your gut feeling; if you’re not comfortable with it, don’t let your family pressure you into anything, even though they have your best interests at heart. Good luck!

does anybody here know of a good detailed online guide on medicinal herbs?

try wikipidea or something

Has anyone had fibroid that shrunk after using herbal remedies?

After having a scan recently, I was told that I have fibroids which are two inches big. I did some extensive research and came across a website that advises women to use herbal remedies, control their diet and do exercises to reduce them. Has anyone followed that sort of advice and shrunk them? If so, please let me know what natural products you used, which foods to avoid and any exercise that worked for you. I wish to avoid surgery or homone treatments as I hope to have kids sometime in life. Thanks for any input.

You should give yourself a pat on the back for avoiding surgery!!!

The problem with fibroid tumors can simply be resolved by restoring proper progesterone levels, which restores normal growth and shedding of the endometrium.

Recommendations for healing fibroids by Dr. John Lee:

WHAT TO DO:
*Use natural progesterone cream.
*Eat a plant-based, fiber rich diet (at least 20-30g fiber per day)
*Take a liver-supporting and detoxifying herbal formula that includes the following herbs: Bupleurum, milk thistle (silybum marianum), barberry or goldenseal, burdock root, yellow dock, dandelion root. {Green Qi would be great for this}
*Take a uterus-healing herbal formula that includes some or all of the following herbs: myrrh, red raspberry, cayenne, Bupleurum, yarrow, vitex and lady’s mantle (Alchemilla mollis)
*Use a castor oil pack 2-4 times a week (many books on herbal healing have instructions on how to make and use a castor oil pack.)

WHAT TO AVOID:
*Unopposed estrogen
*Dairy products
*Feed-lot meats (eat only range-fed, organic meats free of drugs and pestiside residue)
*Coffee (heavily sprayed with DDT)

What products or home remedies should i use for dryness around the eyes?

Around my eyes (eyelids and under my eyes) are very dry and swollen looking.I have done research and many say that it could be eczema, but im not sure what it is. Every morning i have to suffer with this dryness around my eyes and i tried putting products like Nivea and baby lotion, but it just made them burn really bad and even made them more red and swollen. Can someone please help me out and advise me some possible products or home remedies i could use to cure this.

get some pure vitamin e. seriously, im not just blurting stuff out there like most people, vitamin e heals and its the skins best friend. if that doesnt work for you, go to your doctor and they’ll put you in the right direction.

How do you keep fresh herbs alive over the winter?

Every year we plant fresh herbs(rosemary, thyme, basil, etc.), but come winter time, they allways die, bummer huh. Even if I keep them in pots. I just don`t do well with them inside.

you can bring them indoors, but they will probably get leggy. The bbest bet is to take a "Start" from each plant you want to save and start new small plants,
