The Terrible Wound of Rosie the Deer
Our wild deer friend Rosie visits often to eat leaves and fruits from many plants in the yard, to drink from the bird bath, and to receive an occasional massage. Recently she followed her curiosity into a garage, and then when startled she jumped through a window, cutting an ugly 10 inch gash on the side of her neck. She came soon after into our yard, and we were shocked at the severity of the wound. We were not sure if she would survive. We cleaned the wound, and over the next days gave her some special herbal remedies from our friend Sharon, who prepares herbal cures for animals (http://anaflora.com). Rosie healed remarkably fast, and seems extraordinarily grateful.

Are there any home remedies to cure tapeworm in cats?
i have 4 cats, and ive noticed that 2 of them have tapeworm segments…. I can’t afford to take them to the vet… are there any home remedies that wll work on them. Or any inexpensive tapeworm removel pills i can buy? Thanks
so if i were to get the praziquantel tapeworm treatment for cats… it wont work? i have flea medication also.

No, there are no "home remedies". But If you’re ABSOLUTELY SURE it’s tapeworm PetSmart sells Tradewinds Praziquantel which kills tapeworm. Give one tablet to each of your cats. But you’ll need to buy two bottles as the $24.99 each bottles only come with three tabs.
You also need to get these cats on a regular flea preventative so they don’t end up with this happening again. Cats get tapeworm by ingesting a flea that contains the larvae. You should also be scooping the poop EVERY TIME YOUR CATS GO as these segments will come out in the poop and then can be stepped on and ingested when the cat licks its paw – creating a new tapeworm.
Why do you have four cats if you can’t afford to care for them? What will happen if they end up sick or injured? I do hope you’re at least keeping them indoors where the likelihood of injury/illness is far less likely? You may want to consider surrendering these cats to a no-kill shelter and not getting pets in the future if you can’t afford to care for them.
