nourishing-herbal-infusions

Susun Weed explains nourishing herbal infusion, her favorite herbs for infusion are nettle, oatstraw, red clover, and comfrey leaf, but only one at a time.

An infusion is a large amount of herb brewed for a long time. Typically, one ounce by weight (about a cup by volume) of dried herb is placed in a quart jar which is then filled to the top with boiling water, tightly lidded and allowed to steep for 4-10 hours. http://herbshealing.com/How_to_make_Infusions.htm

I care for my reproductive health but am not exactly interested in having children right this moment. Will they interfere with standard birth controls? Or, is there a period of time you should abstain from them to make sure you aren’t super-fertile?

Oh Ho! I think you just answered the question I posed under the oatstraw infusion thread! You have just warned against using oatstraw and redclover lest one hopes to expand her family LOL!

Questions: After you make the infusion, should you refrigerate it? Also, you seem to advise using one infusion at a time – how many days does one imbibe, and any recommendations for taking “breaks” in between infusions? Can infusions ease meno? I would appreciate your expanded comments.

    Many thanks!
