My daughter has gotten UT’s since she was five we have taken her to 3 specialists and they all tell me us the same thing she will out grow them witch she has she now gets them like 3 times a year ,but I do not want to give her any more meds I was wondering if any one has a home made remedies to help gt rid of a UT.
No bubble baths,drinking cranberry juice and plenty of water,yogurt helps(good acidophilus probotics(sp?),healthy diet,scent/color free laundry soaps,sensitive scent free feminine products,cotton underpants(no satin,etc…),no tight clothes,scent free toilet paper.
Doing this stuff has helped my daughter cut back on her UTI’s.
Depending on how old she is, there is an OTC med called Azo-Standard. That will help with the urgency and frequency that she feels. Also, you can get cranberry pills in the vitamin section, those will help. She needs to lay off the soda, tea, etc and drinks LOTS of water.

Aromatherapy;
To speed the healing of a urinary tract infection, add 20 drop each of eucalyptus and sandalwood essential oils to a hot bath, suggests Greenwich, Connecticut, aromatherapist Judith Jackson, author of Scentual Touch: A Personal Guide to Aromatherapy. She says to soak in the tub for ten minute. Juniper and thyme essential oil may be substituted for the eucalyptus and sandalwood if you prefer those scents.

ONE- cranberries. Not cranberry juice- the sugar in the juice will give the bacteria more to feed off of. Feed her fresh or dried cranberries, or give her a cranberry pill (found anywhere that sells supplements, even Wal-Mart).
TWO- No bubble baths or anything in her bath except for water. Do not put ANY kind of soap on her vagina, just wash it with water.

You can cure the UTI through, water, cranberries, baking soda and a herb called Uva Ursi.
Cure UTI with Cranberry
Cranberry is a popular method to cure uti. It has been proven to help acidify the urine and prevent the bacteria that causes UTI from sticking to the bladder walls. What many people don’t know, though, is that you cannot just drink any kind of cranberry juice. It must be 100% cranberry juice or you need to eat real cranberries. Regular store bought juice with sugar or sweeteners won’t do you much good. It must be 100% pure cranberry if you want to use it to cure UTI.
Curing UTI with Baking Soda
This is a good one
Once you feel the symptoms of a UTI, this trick can really make your day! What you should do is to fix a teaspoon of baking soda with eight ounces of water. It tastes horrible but you will be glad you did. Baking soda has the benefit of raising the PH level of the irritating and acidic urine. This will help you stop the UTI attack before it breaks out completely.
Tried Uva Ursi?
Ever heard about Uva Ursi? It is not a very common herb but it might be helpful. You can get it in most natural food and drug stores but its scientific evidence seems to be controversial. This herb has potentionally antiseptic properties but it is yet to be clinically proven.
Hope it helps.
