Apple Cider Vinegar Cat Experiment
The cat I got from a rescue center a couple weeks ago has some kind of eye infection (most likely conjunctivitis). I have been cleaning it since I got her and applying topical ointment to help clean it (in the inner tearduct area, not in the actual eye) and though it has gotten better, it doesn’t seem to be clearing up the entire problem and is doing nothing for her congestion. After doing much research I came across a huge forum regarding the positive affects of using Apple Cider Vinegar, one of which includes treatment for conjunctivitis in cats. These included testimonies of vast amounts of people with success from this in treating their pets ailments, some of which were specifically having the same issues I was having. Only in a lot of those cases, theirs was with kittens, which is actually much more serious than when in adults. Many kittens die from upper respiratory infections, which I believe Celia has as well as (probably in result of) the conjunctivitis. For more information, please visit their site www.earthclinic.com Anyway, this was day 1, pretreatment. I wanted to show you what her eye looks like before and what it looks like (if this works) after. (also the stages in between) If this does work, I believe it can truly help someone and possibly save the life of their cat. All without chemicals or hazardous medicines. bragg.com I found it at my local Whole Foods store. (health food store) If you can’t find the raw/unpasterized form, organic is the second best …
@ MrsColorMe What? link?
Where’s the link?
Tinaramsey1975 @ I? just add half a cap full (non-diluted) Into Their wet food (1 / 2 Cdn each). THEY eat it just fine and it’s seemed to Improve Their digestion and general well being.
If you are Adding It to Their water, it Should Be more like a 1 to 4? ratio. So 1 / 4 cup to a full cup of water. Since You Did dilute it, you Gave the Amount Should not hurt HIM. Just in the future, if They Are going to ingest it, it’s best to dilute it more. It’s very acidic. I Was Taking IT DID myself and too high of a dose and it upset my stomach pretty bad. And Yes, you can give it to your dog. Some I give my cats to Both mixed in Their wet food everyday, just as Preventative maintenance.
I just cam back from the store 3:00 am to get LCA? Even I Could not stand looking at my kitten (6weeks) he looks awful. I did half water half acv. . . . . . so We Will see. In the water? Would it be ok for my dog ??too? Whats the mix to put in Their drinking water?
