  1. This user-friendly reference on natural healing and prevention strategies for a variety of diseases is based on the premise that the body functions optimally when the food you eat as close as possible to their natural state. The physician-author believes (and many people agree with this point of view) that non-urgent and chronic diseases should be managed by holistic medical techniques, while using modern medicine as a useful complement, and not vice versa. ” , br />
Each chapter is devoted to a health problem, and is divided into an overview of the disease, its causes, symptoms and testing techniques. Treatment is divided into recommended foods and foods to avoid, strategies for detoxification as well as free treatment, including homeopathy, acupressure, stress reduction and aromatherapy.

More than 100 health problems are addressed in this format! These include conditions as diverse as acne, high cholesterol, diarrhea, headache and sinusitis, etc. Part II of the book reviews the essentials of natural medicine, including the Food, nutrition, fasting, supplements, exercise etc., is a complete book to have around you!

  2. It is the most recent (2004 versus 2000) and most complete of the two books I bought and use, but I recommend only one book, Bill Gottlieb “alternative remedies” to be bought out .

This book is distinguished by routine, including more clearly stated in natural medical prescriptions, what are the options that might be effective in Acupressure, Bodywork, Stress Reduction, Flowers Bach and other recommendations.

All informatioon must be taken with a grain of salt, but I found that by combining the recommendations of this book with those of Bill Gottlieb, I get a better over-all sense of where there is consensus, and I get a clearer picture of what natural remedies to select the range that both books recommend different ways.

This is the best of two books, but not enough to stay alone. The two together provide an upper mold of knowledge appropriate to the needs of each individual reader.

It describes the treatment of this disease for many recommended foods, detoxification and also offers alternative remedies using aromatherapy, acupressure and homeopathic. I love this book and if possible I would give him more than five stars.

  4. It is not surprising that with the rising costs of traditional medicine (not to mention the invasive nature of some treatments and side effects of medications prescribed most alarming), many turn to natural remedies or alternative . Balch and Stengler provide an excellent source of information on everything from herbs and other supplements to acupuncture and bodywork. For each condition listed in the book, the authors offer prescriptions Super 7 (7 supplements). I have been using the remedies for sore lower back and I found them very useful.
